Our 2394 case tractor is getting air into the brake system. When you first start tractor you need to pump up brakes to get them to work. I have bled the system on the two bleed screws at back. The case mechanic suggested changing foot valve, so we did. This did not help? Not sure exactly how the system works, where else is the air getting in? Also our seat was not working either, but it started working after we put valve in?? I haven't done any work with it so not sure it will last. Any thoughts?
I am just working on this tractor again, the seat does not work, so they are two separate problems I am sure. I am gonna put an air ride seat in, any thoughts on the brakes?
Our old 2590 does the same thing but pumping it seems to purge the air. Pulled the sb sprayer last year and I second the air ride seat and more glue for your false teeth.
The mechanic at redhead figures the slave cylinder seals slowly leak out the fluid, that is why pumping them always works eventually. Has anyone resealed these? I can t decide whether it's worth the effort. It is a safety hazard I guess. This tractor does not get a whole lot of use.
