Its been close to a year since Ritchie Bros. offered a number of New Holland 4WD tractors that were built and shipped for customers in the former USSR . I was wondering does anyone know how these tractors panned out and where they wound up ?
Ya, one of my neighbours bought one of them. They have only used it for about 50 hours, but they like it. Another farmer in the area purchased one, and it has been problem free for them as well.
I know of one but i haven't heard how he got on with it over seeding. Last i was talking to him he was in discussion with a dealer to see if he could get it de rated as it was way over powered for what he needed.
Last fall when we were dealing on a new tractor I inquired with a NH dealer near Edmonton . They had looked at buying the 8-10 units offered at the RB sale at last falls sale, the owner told me that they changed their minds when NH told them that they would not be covered by warranty and that the serial numbers would not be in their parts system and who knows how long these tractors sat at a port in sea salt air while the deal was in limbo .. I was also told that one tractor sold in Ontario earlier in the summer of 2009 and that the owner was experiencing paint and corrossion issues .
