John Deere RX

The four tracks have been out a while now, wondering how they r holding up? Should be some guys getting afew hours on them now. Any track issues, ride quality issues, or even problems with the emissions since running DEF? Any thoughts on the 9520rx was looking at one of these in a upcoiming spring sale??

We have ran 2 9620RX for 2 seasons. About 1000hrs a piece. Cummins engine. Pulled air drill, grain cart and a little discing and harrowing.
One has been pretty much trouble free, the other a few issues with def pump.
We are happy with the power and how they pull, ride is very good. Transmission auto shift works awesome.
There is a large PIP on a lot of them this winter, transmission is getting tore apart to check one shaft and gear. And also another for a noise issue. They are changing some steel hyd lines to rubber. Would be a good idea to look into these on that auction tractor.

Is the noise level a real issue in these RX's?

One of ours is very quiet, the other defiantly has a vibration type noise, more so when hyd are on continuous flow. So I assume this PIP will fix that. The guy that runs the noisier one doesn’t think it’s loud at all, but when you go from one to the other is noticeable.

Not just RX, but ALL R transmissions. Will cost Deere a good chunk of change. Some 9XXX 4wd driveshafts were done 4 times, hope it's right now.

I’m glad they are looking after it, but hate the idea of a tractor getting tore into that deep just in case.

Neighbor has a 9570R in shop, said one gear in PS transmission will be changed, a huge job of course.

This transmission PIP is only for newer R tractors right?
