Bourgault x30 jd starfire

I rigged up my x30 to use my starfire signal for speed and coverage, I followed bourgault instructions and all seemed good until I did my software update on the 2630 jd and now x30 says no gps signal is being received. Any one else have this happed or have any thoughts as too what maybe going on. I have gone back through all the setup on both monitors to make them speak to one another and still no signal.

I just updated my green star display with the latest firmware also. I had the same thing happen with jd reciever. I updated inside the shop where ther is no signal. I took machine outside and still showed now gps signal. I shut off machine waited a minute restarted and let it run for about twenty minutes with clear view of sky and then it showed I have gps signal and everything worked. What a relief! I didn't change anything, I just waited.

Hope this helps. I'm not sure if topcon will react the same as green star.

Yeah the same thing has been happening to everyone with the latest update, it wont output a gps signal. You have to revert the software in the receiver back to the version that was last fall.

Did you check all the COM port settings? You might have to change them again.

X2 you need to revert to last years version which has to be done by JD dealer. Don't as me how I know...

Yes you have to dummy up the software on the Starfire receiver back to the 14-2 Software. A JD AMS tech will probably have to perform this task. Hopefully Bourgault & JD get it figured out before the frequency change happens on the Starfire system and SF1 & SF2 go bye bye if you don't have the newest software.
