Adding Second Cart To SeedHawk

We have a 50 ft seedhawk with a 357bu onboard tank, outfitted with NH3 and Alpine (alpine is onboard also). Pulling with a T9040 with 55gpm hydraulics. I would like to switch from liquid to dry phos, but can only meter one dry product. My solution was to add a smaller, second air cart in the back to put down phos and sulphur with. Most likely a Flexi-Coil 2320 or a Bourgault 3225. I'd like to put it behind the onboard tank, and in front of the NH3 wagon.

Im fairly certain we'll have the hydraulic capacity, it's not like we will be needing max rpm out of either fan.Has anyone on here done it before that has some insight on the matter? I'm assuming it won't be a huge undertaking, just gotta extend some wires, add some hoses, and distribution towers. Is there anything I'm overlooking here?

Shouldn't be a problem to do that, just won't be able to back up😉. Just curious, why would you switch to dry phos?

We have used Alpine since 2002 and are beginning to see deficiencies, even though we keep increasing alpine rates every year. Had a neighbor seed some canola for us last spring with dry and it laid the boots to our alpine canola. Also, dry is cheaper

Alpine is not a phos replacer just a starter phos. What it will give you is better roots off the start and 3 or 4 days faster to maturity. Thats a big deal depending on your location.

That’s interring to hear, not what the alpine guys tell you, and all the other guys with similar products. But a lb of phos is a lb of phos.

With your tanks, going to use one fan for both tanks ? Or T the hoses in some way ?

Brent.

Was planning on using both fans for simplicity, we only use 3 of the 4 remotes on the tractor currently. Was gonna just run the Hoses up front and be done with it
