8T/Ha not cut short and well spread is going to be a lot of stubble to deal with. Definitely need 2 passes with a Kelly chain in the right conditions. Still going to leave a fair bit of material on or near surface which by the sound of it might still be an issue with slugs etc.

The heavier CL2 chain now available on Kelly chains would incorporate straw deeper so might be an option. Kelly chains can pulverise the soil pretty well.....something to keep in mind if planning multiple passes.

Hey Lynas, slightly off topic, but did you say a yr or so ago that you were putting RFM discs on a Flexicoil to sow through heavy stubble? How have you found them?

What's your crop rotations?

Could you be striptilling corn or milo into the wheat stubble?

I've been through your area and seen corn, but don't remember how far from you it was.
