Dekalb- TruFlex canola

Anyone grow this & how did it turn out? My experience was not a good one- the emergence was patchy& it’s struggled the whole spring- I should have reseeded it but kept hoping it would kick in- in one field I finished the last 50 acres with 6090 RR- everything the same as TruFlex & it is doing much better-

Came out of the ground fast..Got nailed with frost in May..The 7565 seems way more even..
The 92sc is blooming now..Considering the beating it took I am surprised it looks that Good..
Think the 7565 will out yield it ..

I am seeing the same thing. It is struggling more and seems lower in vigor and is quite uneven , I guess we'll see how it finishes but right now I'm in not hurry to book it again.

Conditions here were challenging to start with but went into good moisture. Planted the clubroot resistant Tru Flex, 7565, and 7444 side by side. I don’t judge anything till I get the scale ticket but I concur this Tru Flex is not impressive for vigour. Even the old 7444 appeared to cabbage out faster.

I didn't seed any trueflex but we have all Dekalb this year. Dekalb's always seem to look like crap the first of July. But they always seem to come thru in the end and usually exceed the others.

I have 92sc and 81bl. The liberty is worse. Not very excited for harvest yet. Hoping things do turn around. We have been told it will look terrible but turn out. Unless it yields something special I wont grow it again.

We had some .66 mix in the tank and sprayed it on the 7565 as a check..Zero difference ..Still looks better than the 92sc...
Rest of 7565 got the .5 of Roundup..

I surmise Tru Flex is a new thing and will take a few years of breeding and trials before varieties will be comparable. Some of the first RR varieties OP and HB sucked compared to even Clearfield.

I should have mentioned that I have Canterra Truflex growing also. It is a bit patchy due to dryness but showed better early season vigor and is a more advanced better looking plant (so far) than the Dekalb. I guess we'll see how both bushel out at harvest.
