100 HP Single Phase Written Pole Motor

Has anyone recently ever used one of these written pole motors or know anyone who has? My understanding is that they are the first and only large HP single phase motors available for areas that don't have 3 phase power.

Our power company (Entergy) engineer recently approved the use of it in Mississippi and we are looking to purchase on to operate an irrigation pump for a 400 acre field in stead of using a phase converter.

It seems to be a type of hysteresis motor which uses magnetic resistance to slow that rotor down compared to the current which runs through it. This creates a slip angle that allows torque to exist even when starting up.

I think the company is pretty low volume so I just wanted to check if anyone has heard of any problems with these models.
