Those spirit thermometers are notorious for being inaccurate. You need to replace it with a digital. Get one that does a remote reading and put the remote somewhere other than right outside your window. I'd suggest that the remote be put in Florida.

Perhaps this photo of out my window will warm you up. It's been over 40 degrees C the last 4 days.

Don't worry it will warmup . We live 50 miles south of Peace River . Yesterday was pushing snow all day 8 AM -16 C at 6 PM +4 C and freezing rain, , At 7 AM this morning still +5 C . probably a good time to put Christmas lights on the barn today .

Something tells me MCat that its going to warm up over there as the temps increased dramatically yesterday evening to +5c and has been blasting wind all night with that temp and on the Grande Prairie Environment Canada site it showed a sustained wind of 62km with gusts up to 88 and headed south east. This will sure settle the big dump of snow we had this last week.

The temperature hardly varies at all!

+4 overnight at Three Hills International Airport.
Yes, the very same place it was -39.6 last Saturday!
And this ain't those Mickey Mouse F degrees!

Ok, so it's not really an International Airport.
