Re: Harvesting Pictures

You mean at Limon Colorado, Here is one I took back in summer of 1998, I was the first John Deere.

To the north is where we all stayed, and somewhere east of the picture is 3 100,000 bushel bins where he keep all the wheat. It was a heck of a time. All if the wheat was about a foot tall.

Re: Harvesting Pictures

I can't even imagine the manpower and rolling stock needed to keep up with 10 combines!

Re: Harvesting Pictures

Well there is 2 more behind that last one, one was a Gleaner. But the wheat did not make very much and the bins where so close that you could keep the trucks back in the field. We also had a couple of carts but for some odd reason they did not make it in that picture.

I am almost positive that's the one he wanted. I drove by right after wheat harvest one year to 23 combines lined up by side of the road.... that was one awesome site. Ripped up all his pasture ground to plant wheat, the wheat out there doesn't make very much I think 20bpa is a good crop, but when he has that much ground he probably makes it all back.
