My local industrial supply house has COP, customer owned product. Linde is the supplier, and the bottles are small, but it sure beats paying rental fees for product you don't use. Ask your local outfit if they have access to COP, you have to buy the bottle and the first fill, but after that you're just exchanging bottles and paying for the gas. I just got oxygen yesterday, cost me $26.60. If I don't use the torch for the rest of the year (highly unlikely), all it cost me is $26.60.

Brother and I have several from OxyPro. Works good because we have extras so neither of us ever need to worry about running out and anyone can take in emptys and exchange when its convenient.
One thing about owning your own, is you want where you can exchange the bottle rather than have your own refilled. Reason being, if you get a refill only one, you are on the hook for certification and valves ect. With the exchange you aren't. Also with OxyPro, you can trade in bottles at current value for different type of gas and size if you choose later.
