But with the L2 support, it might be able to keep fix solutions better while in motion. The Reach sometimes drops back to floating.

so f9 is working at my office.

the only problems is with ports. when i use u-center software usb port is blocked by u-center.

there are also uart ports.

the problem is to input rtcm stream to ublox and getting out nmea at the same port.

solution

a) a ntrip client inside agopengps
b) serial port splitter (cant find any freeware)
c) hardware work to use uart board and strsvr to input data und get nmea out of usb.

same problem would be with simpleRTK2B when not using radio modem..

any ideas?

you can write AND read from the same serial port using node serial-port .. an example >>

port = new SerialPort(options...);

port.write("some data");

port.on("data", (data) => { console.log(data);

});

regards, warren

yes i know that -> therefore a) a nitrip client inside agopengps which send rtcm to f9 and gets nmea over same port.

if i use agopen with usb port of f9 the port it is blocked to other applications. so i cant use any other software to use the same port to input rtcm..

The regular way is to use a Ntrip Modem at a second serial port of the F9P, the modem delivers the RTCM stream, and gets vice versa the GGA sentence required for VRS from the f9p.
Those modems are available, but very expensive 1300-2200.
At the moment Im working on a ESP32 Modem, the Ntrip cilent now runs, but it requires a WiFi with I-Net access at the moment.
Next step is to add a celluar device to do the whole way.

Im not sure if we should tie this millstone to AOG?
Otherwise such a client should be easy to add and would reduce external components? Really?
For a reliable connection a external antenna for the celluar part is reqired, but impossible to add to most of the Tablets/Notebooks.
If you add a external cellular device you did not make a step ahead.
Additionally Windows updates will sometimes suck up you cellular volume.

Final solution could be a roof device maybe with ESP + f9p + cellular + wifi udp so the Antennas for GPS and cellular are at the right place
WW and WTalen like this.

Ardusimple address this on their website, either using either an xbee bluetooth or 3G module instead of the radio modem.

Also did you get the update today from them? should be shipping end of December.
I'm Backer number 12 for a long range kit so hopefully should be one of the first out the door

The Ntrip client insinde agopengps is a great idea. I saw that there is a SharpGPS, which has opensource code for Ntrip client in Csharp, so it should not be hard to implement. I will have a look at it and try to get it to work during holiday.

Also, you can use a bluetooth for feeding Uart with RTCM stream, from android Ntrip server, thats also a solution.

yes - but i dont like handy do use for autosteer applications.

my next toy is the teltonika rut955 - it has linux on board, ntrip client and a rs232. so i would connect f9 direct to it..

Is that graph created inside your office with the F9? It's impressive either way seeing that the scale is 5mm but it would be super impressive if that's inside a building.
