Xplornet Wireless LTE

Xplornet has a tower 15 miles away. Operating for 2 months. We have their new satellite 25 down now, fast, but variable. Ping is horrible. Anyone else using their LTE, connected to fiber optic cable and signal sent out wirelessly?

Finally harvest near...3 weeks late, still COLD, WET(

We have the new service as well and it has to be wireless and hitting fiber because the ping is excellent. Finally no third world internet.

The old yourlink connection explornet bought was a wireless relay and the ping wasn’t great but speed was horrible.

Years ago had the Satellite and was total ****. Ping was ~700-900ms and speed sucked too because it was so over subscribed and they even admitted it when you called tech support.

Xplornet is absolute garbage.

Had them on and off over the years, first time was fixed wireless and it was hardly even useable. Then we fell for their "Satellite can be good" marketing but satellite always sucks. Period. Then we went to a MB based provider named Netset who naturally got bought out by Xplornet and lo and behold about a month later my consistent 15 down and 2.5 up turned into 0.35 down and about the same up every evening.

Yet, when I call in and complain magically my speeds go back to normal. Then a couple days later it turns to $hit again.

They throttle certain ports but never admit to doing it. Ever wonder why websites are slow to load but Youtube, Speedtest and Netflix work good? It's called throttling certain sites. The other day I had bought a movie on iTunes and it was downloading at 1 mbps. So I ran a speedtest, naturally it came back at 15 mbps. So I contacted them, they said the slow download wasn't their fault because it was whoever was sending it couldn't provide more than 1 mbps. I said Apple can certainly provide more than 1 mbps and the guy said, nope, that's just the way it is.

So I tethered my computer to my phone. Fancy that my download from Apple was suddenly going 80 mbps. Took a screenshot and sent it to them and asked the tech guy "what the **** is up with this then?"

About 2 minutes later my Xplornet connection was going at 15 mbps the way it should be. Hmmmm.

Liars and crooks. Supposedly have fiber optic to the home coming next summer. Can't wait to cancel this garbage.

Ours is really good in southern Ab. Often run 35-40mbs over wifi, even though it’s supposed to max at 25mbs. Had trouble with them years ago but been really good since we came back about 6 months ago.

Any inquiries-

Pretty much same ping and download speed here. New xplornet tower in Aylsham.

Totally agree with the previous post's about xplornet being **** but the new tower's are pretty decent. Actually scratch that, they're still ****! Don't want everyone piling on and dragging us under....
