Brushless 3 phase Steering Motor Connection

I purchased a 3 phase brushless DC motor to use as my steering motor. It's 4800 RPM so I added a 10/1 gear reduction box in it. I'm having second thoughts because its becoming difficult to get it working with the Arduino. Diagrams indicate that I need to connect a PWM and DIR pin the arduino. I'm looking at ESC's and they only have a PWN connection. Can anyone think of an RC Car Speed Controller that would work?

For brushless dc you either need a 3 phase ESC or drive it as stepper with step/dir signal and a 3 phase stepper driver.
If you are looking to use this with Aog you'll need to change the arduino code to either give servo PPM or step/dir signals instead of the pwm and dir which are send now
