It is insanely stupid and I feel like I’m speaking with clowns when I am in there.

I've heard of the same thing happening around here too. Guess it's a feel good tactic, or a self-esteem booster, I don't know.

It's easy enough to be pleasant, when life goes by like a song. But the man worth while, is the man with a smile, when everything goes dead wrong!

If you have low protein I’d be looking to buy some high and blend it, should be able to make a deal where both get paid, especially if the guy you buy from can deliver to the elevator for you.

Don’t worry though I shorted some wheat the other day, should be headed to the moon now no matter what you have!!

Everyone in our area (North of Minot) had high protein, elevators figured that out and now wheat is wheat no discount or premium.
NDSU Barlow 14.5-15.5% Avg. 55-60 Bu
SY Ingmar 14.0-15.3% Avg. 60-63 Bu
SY Valda 11.0-12.9% Avg. 75-80 Bu
MSU Bolles 15.3-17.0% Avg. 40-45 Bu

We try to push N pretty hard so we can get some decent yields, I would say on average they received 120-130 lbs Actual N. Cash Price at the moment is $5.02 -.90 basis.

Wasn’t trying to say we’re breaking any boundaries in N fertilization just giving people an idea of what we did and how it worked in my area. How are yields and protein with 170 lbs N? Would need some good yields and rains to make that pay well I would guess. Would love it rain could be guaranteed
