And Alberta is off to the races!!

Well been four long depressing years but some good news finally announced today, April 16 we can correct the socialist disaster that vote splitting on the right created last time around, and begin to give some life support to our dying industrial backbone in this province.

Just based on the last 24 hours coverage by CTV out of Edmonton and Calgary, no question of doubt who they are pushing for, same with King Dipshit the mayor of Edmonton and we all know where Nenshi's loyalty lies...

Its sad when one thinks of how many tens of billions of investment dollars have left Alberta recently, I'm just a few miles off the Ft Mac hyway and travel it to go to town locally for a short ways, to say there has been an incredible drop in traffic is an understatement. Same with the bottom line of a lot of local support and other types of businesses, some are already gone.

Also interesting how the media is avoiding and ignoring the troubles that Elections Alberta has gotten themselves into of late...seems their driven desire to try to shut down ol' Ezra Levant has backfired now again...wonderful that those fine folks who are supposed to be administering our election have shown us all just who they really are working for...so when all added together, its gonna be one **** of a commotion between now and April 16, sit back, buckle up and enjoy the ride lol.

Oh crap I made a typo on the first choice of the poll and it won't seem to let me change it, lol, should have been UCP, my bad!!

Vote splitting???? What election did YOU participate in. "vote splitting" had no bearing on the last election in Alberta.

Not really. There was more vote splitting in the election before that but there was so few votes voting NDP/LIB that it didn't matter. The reason we ended up with the NDP was people protesting the PC's, voting NDP hoping to reduce the PC's to a minority to teach them a lesson but over shot the runway and we ended up with the NDP. Had nothing to do with the province having the PC and Wildrose parties any more than the province having both NDP and Liberal parties splitting the left wing vote accounting for the PC wins for the previous 40 years.

Every time I hear Nenshi speak on the radio it triggers the same response I have when I hear Justin or Rachel speak. I want to smash the radio. Its like I have an involuntary reflex to start swearing, and throwing stuff at the radio, or tv.

Typo doesn't matter, I vote for a UPC (universal product code) over the NDP any day of the week.

I also think this election is going to be more about what dirt can be thrown more than policy. There is nothing more desperate, in my mind, than a politician looking to get reelected. I'm sure if any conservative candidate picked there nose in public when they were a kid, thats going to be drug up and used against them.

I'll be looking forward to the election to be over. Oh but wait, then in a couple of months we have the Federal election, I see that as being a wild poo flinging festival as well. And that will be over just in time for our american friends to get started with there election process. That seems like its going to be a crap show also.

Statistics are like a Bikini. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal, is vital.

Yeah, better get the rain gear on. Sh!t will be flying till the federal is over. Oh joy. One more reason to not watch the news. Who is the media making us (brainwashing) vote for anyhow? I haven't turned on the tv or radio for a week or so. I am split between UCP and the Alberta party. I did sign nomination papers for the guy running here with the Alberta party, very level headed guy. The party itself seems to have little traction though, focusing on mostly rural areas. I guess I will wait to make my coin toss....

Good thing the milk and chicken industries are getting big financial help, ya know, because life sure is tough out there when you can't price fix your commodity. Funny thing is it'll probably go to "farms" out east.
Yet Rachel couldn't give a rats arse about all us grain guys, she gets some retarded idea to run out and buy a bunch of oil rail cars for an already overloaded network.

Sure would be nice to vote out both the provincial and Feds.

I chose independent because there was no other or none of the above choice. I have never been so cynical towards politics as I am today. Its just one big crap show and really all of the party's are a joke. At this point I think I might just end up spoiling my ballot...........

I'd like to see the Alberta party given a shot (but not under Mandel)

Not a fan of Kenny. Too regressive. I'm okay with the gays and good public healthcare and social programs, and well funded education, and I'm willing to pay more tax for it. I know some people who are great people, but they don't have the skills to make big money... but they still have health issues that are resolved here at no cost. I hate to think how, had they been born in the US, their lives would be much worse because they couldn't afford good healthcare. I too have benefited from this socialism we have, and I'm grateful that help was available to me.

The recession we're suffering through is more to do with global market pricing and obstructions to getting our product to that market. There's only so much the Alberta premier can do, no matter who is the premier.
