I tried to sell the combine this fall I did get some interest but was not able to close on a deal. Most of the people interested seemed too busy in the fall harvest to actually come have a look at it. I let it sit over the winter and might try to sell it again this spring.
I'll have to clean it up and and go over it to make sure it's running smooth. In the fall when I started it to move it , I tried running the head and it was kind of struggling and the belts and pulleys also were making a lot of noises. Probably rust etc from sitting for close to 2 years.
Once I have a look it in the spring I'll try to clean it up and get everything greased. Check belts cable and everything.
Part of me is wondering if I want to make an attempt at custom combining for any smaller farmers in the area with this machine. I know I'll have to spend lots of hours prepping the combine to get it into proper condition for doing any custom work.
Just have to wait for the snow to melt now...
