John Deere 4730 pressure

Running a John Deere 4730 sprayer and having trouble with the pressure dropping off when coming back on after turning a corner. Momentarily pressure drops to 14-22 psi before climbing back up. Doesn't make a difference to run on manual or auto rate. Can anyone help?

Make sure boom charge is set to auto. Also make sure your not accelerating aggressively as you come out of the headland, doesn't give the pump enough time to react to the system engaging, and the pressure drops.

I have my boom charge set to auto. I also run my spray off pressure 20 psi higher than desired spray pressure as a cushion.

Ok thanks for the ideas. Dealer is also advising try a new flow meter. We'll see tomorrow if that helps.

Check you boom strainers that they are clean and didn't get mixed up in the position. Pull flow meter out and see if it spins free.

Purge your boom sounds like air is stuck in it or foam,
Or turn the valve in the back halfway to give more boom pressure if you run below 25 gallon a minute
