6620 digital tach reads 000

I went to get my combine out to get it ready for the wheat. Also, to evict the coon family living in the grain tank. When I started the combine, the digital engine tach read 000. I checked the ground speed and the fan speed, both of them worked. So, where does the digital display get itsengine speed? Is it the alternator? The coon family is going in around the exhaust pipe hole so I thought they might have pulled a wire loose. Just wondering where to start diagnosing. Thank you.

Attached a picture of the "Engine Harness" schematic. The engine tach sensor is just visible top left---kinda tucked in the fold. NOt sure where exactly it is, either in front cover, or near flywheel. Not in alternator though.

If it's a 466 it's on the front timing cover and the wires/plug are in the vicinity of the injection pump

Thanks so much. I didn't know which end to start with. I started to pull out the dash and ran out of time. Which gave me time to think it might be a loose wire at the sensor instead of a loose wire at the dash. Or there is the mouse issue?? Thanks again for your help.

I found it. The plug in lays right across the top of the injector pump. It was unplugged. One wire was chewed a bit. So we are back together and working. Thank you again.
