Yeh, Fred Mcwhirter. Had a heap of Johnnyís.
You were here in the better times,
This was back in the days when the harvest run was longer and crop maturity more staggered. Surely you remember all his daughters who used to run the machines........... they attracted plenty of attention in the AG world for obvious reasons........

He is still about, priority is Farming for himself now, not so much contracting.[/QUOTE]

Thatís definitely the guy! I sure do remember the daughters. There was definitely a lot of testosterone within the crew with guys trying to get there attention, including myself. Hahaha. Fredís wife and youngest daughter picked us up at the train station when we started, both our jaws about hit the floor when we met. Good memories.

Good to here heís still going. I spent most my time with the harvest crew but my buddy spend his time around Freds farm breaking/clearing up a chunk of ground he had acquired that year.

Wow! A lot of good reading in here. Thank you for the replies guys. it makes me even more excited to over there this coming season and create my own story! I think we will have to hit up New Zealand as well as the UK if we can.
