8010 starter just clicks

This thing has been clicking when trying to engage the starter intermittently . I was sure it was low battery, so I bought new batteries, it still does it. I charged up the new batteries, it still does it. Starter wonít engage , just clicks... problem is I canít see how/where starter solenoid/switch is. Starter just has a live hot battery cable bolted to it and a little wire that is a ground, How does the starter get the signal to go?

Completely confused

Not sure on the solenoid part, but if it it clicking then the solenoid is most likely not your issue, rather the starter is going bad.

Have you checked the 12-24v series parallel switch abortion they stuck on them? Fairly common fail item

Check the tin fuse inside that relay. Likely that

If the starter just clicks and doesnt kick out it most lickely be the ground towards the starter, try hooking up a jumper cable from battery to the starter, that could be your problem
