Pulling rotors

This winter one of the projects on the list is doing some major overhaul on our cr960. We are going to have to pull the rotors to replace the sheet metal that runs down the center of the two rotors. There is some very large spots missing in the concave area.
What's the easiest way to get these out? The book shows a fixture you use with a forklift that we don't have. Are they necessary or very hard to make? With our old case we just used a come along through the back and a cherry picker on the front. I don't think there's any way that would work with these.
Any tips or tricks to make it easy to get in and out?

A pole or long post/railroad tie strapped to a loader or forklift and insert from the front? I've never done it and don't know exactly what the part looks like, but that would serve as something to support or attach the part to...

When i did it i found a 8 foot ish square shaft and u clamped it to my forks on the skid steer. You can take the front shaft off the rotor which leaves a 4-5 inch hole, just go inside with the shaft and pull it out.
