973 20 vs 30 foot weight for TR86

I have a neighbor who has a 30 ft 973 platform he hasn't used in a couple years since he hasn't planted any soybeans. He said I could try it on my TR86 if I wanted to. How much more would it weigh? More than my 974 6 row corn head? I don't have duals or rear weights. 24.5x32 drive tires. Years ago on my Ford powered TR70 I had issues with my 15 foot platform and used a 20 footer to finish up and it was pushing it pretty hard.

You are fine, unless something is really wrong with it the combine will deal with that easily. Just make sure your front tires can hold air.

I suppose another thing to look to look out for is the unloading auger will be too short. Last year I helped some neighbors finish up their soybeans with my combine and they use a grain cart. Works fine with a 20' but a 30 might be pretty tight. Should work fine for wagons though if careful.
