How many sweeps for Rice

A friend has bought a S97 to replace his S77 for rice. I suggested to fit sweeps after reading others comments on here how good they work and the dealer got a set of sweeps. I have no experience with rice or sweeps and they want to know do you fit all 9 sweeps supplied and do you keep any reverse bars?

I would run 9 sweeps on separator side and three on thresher side with no reverse bars, but that's me! lol

Yes, back in the 80's with stock wore out N7's, it was terrible and had to go back to the L's then later to 9610's. Since I've been back to Gleaner I haven't cut any rice. I do believe with a dynaflex and with the right set-up it would do just fine now. I do wish I could put it in rice for a week just to see. I will say if I were to do rice I probably would only run a 35 foot "front" as you call them lol.

This guy has run over the years L2,R62,S77 and now a S97. If Gleanersuper7 is watching this is the guy I was hinting for a Gleaner Roadshow clip to be done on but he better hurry as rice is only weeks away. A local guy can do the production.
He doesn't run a Dynaflex, not sure what he has but he is happy with the Gleaners in rice other than some of the high wear areas that he would like to see factory options for. I got them onto Dan Hurtt and he also suggested the 3/9 set up as well. They only got 9 in the kit so would need to make some. The rotor has already got mounting plates from factory.
