Retrofit yield monitor.

Does any one have experience with a retrofited yield monitor on their gleaner combine? I have just noticed two, the 8000i and farmTRX. Thank you for any input.

Just purchased a farmtrx unit. Like that no memory card is required. It keeps all data in cloud storage.

And is then onsold to the highest bidder. So anyone that wants to know has a complete record of all your hectares harvested, yield, crops grown and where its all located. I'll keep my card storage and physical backups thankyou very much !!

These are the ones where you put a sensor on the clean grain elevator and then one up top where the grain piles up before the hopper auger, correct?

I wouldn't worry to much about the highest bidder knowing your yeilds.
All the big countries/corporations have access to more and more satellite data. They have a good idea what entire regions are growing around the world.

So what model of combine are you putting this on?

I am gently poking around the idea of putting one on a 78+ L2 or L3.

Our farm purchases a combine soley on its ability to do an excellent job in all of our crops, while being fuel efficient, reliable, ruggedly built, and easy to repair. That is why we choose a Gleaner.

Ive had them on all 4 of my combines for the last 3 years. Really like the post harvest calibration, harvest usually gets a little hectic round here and I dont have time to calibrate every machine. I just punch in the harvested Bu from the field and it automatically cleans the yield map. Pretty neat.

Just put farmtrx's on both combines , easy installation and easy set up. Bought two cheap tablets so a person has the live numbers, but not really necessary.
