WOW! Complex password. I guess we need to protect the "top secret" information we share here!

Roughly

Interesting that the forum has settled back to 30 to 50 topics in a 24 hour period, that's about normal of late before this fiasco, think it was down to 18 then.
2 or 3 years ago 50 to 70 would be typical and I only saw over 100 once.
News you can't use!

Finally got back on today. I have no idea how. Were we supposed to get an email?

Hey there!

If you have an issue with the pop up not disappearing, there is a way to fix it. This usually 90% of the time has to do with cookies not being turned on for the site, or stalling on cookies.

Make sure in your browser that cookies are turned on. To do so, here is some tutorials:
Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...te-preferences
Chrome: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/61416?hl=en
Edge: Edge- How do I enable cookies - Microsoft Community

Hopefully that helps with your issue. J

This little fiasco, did cause me to update my banking passwords!
Yea... when I did that hacked site search, I found out 2 sites I used to frequent had been hacked. Luckily the passwords I used there weren't common to other places. For banking I make sure they have nothing in common with the passwords I use online, ditto for my emails.

I have survived the great password folly, but now I find my screen jumps up and down about 4 to 5 times while all the ads load. Anyone have a solution for that? It's really annoying when you are trying to read or type a reply.

Ad Block Plus seems to keep things neat and tidy on the screen.

It's not pop ups that I would need a pop up blocker for, just the regular ads that insist on having scrolling features. Every time I open a page now it flips back to the top two or three times, and when you get used to scrolling down it flips to the bottom once. Very annoying. I'm a little leery of adding more adblockers with the firewalls etc I have with Windows 10 in addition to my AVG antivirus.

I think this thread should be titled "Ongoing password changes", third time for me, what a pain...

Why is there never time and money to do it correctly but there's always plenty to do it again

Is it prompting you to change?

I havn't been able to change my password yet, still using the random password I had to beg admin for.

Don't blame the baker when the butcher bakes the bread.

I just can't sign in, a couple days screwing around and finally resort to forgot password and they send me a couple emails, the second has a temporary password. I thought I could use it for everything but it appears to only work for one device so I changed the password (I figured out a password system I think I can remember that's "strong" yet simple )

My Android devices seem to be having an issue although finally the last time here I'm finally able to log on with my little tabet. I'm currently using four devices, two are signed in here at the moment.
