Our land base is scattered all over, we actually used to run a pair of NH conventionals not too long ago, the guys out of veg used to service us, might have even crossed paths with ya!
I sure do miss the A/C cooled pop can holder!! Best thing about them NH's
Send me a pm of info if you're more curious. Going to any sales this spring?

No I didn't cuz I have a new cell number. Changed providers. I'll text you either tonight or tomorrow. I never did get around to giving it out to all my contacts. Didn't end up doing anything about a cart yet...kinda want to hear your perspective on the topic though. Haven't really been around carts enough to know much of anything about them.

So are you a daddy yet? You are gonna have a busy spring ahead of you...I definately won't envy you at 3 am. lol That said, it's all worth it in the end ;)

Thanks, am quite enjoying the forum thus far. I have learned lots from it in the past and figured I should contribute a little! I agree with your thread tonight, it is not the same as a visitor. One thing about me, I have tried lots of stuff and won't hold back on my screw-ups...they are many in number. Just had a baby the other day so will be around the house lots this winter, let the learning begin! Still not sure difference between visitor and personal message so hope this goes to the right place. Maybe everyone can read this but my strategy is not to post anything that could not be read by everyone I know, we'll see.

Hey how's life going? All settled into married life? Just wondering if I can pick your brain about your new hollands. I realize you run CX's, but wondering if you have any opinions of the CR's. I saw you demoed one not long ago....what'd you think? We had a CR 970 in 03' but had nothing but problems with it....you think they have improved them since then?

We used to have 2 deere combines, and dad traded his on the massey. I kept mine (the one in the picture with my little girl) We still have 3-4 days left to wrap up....all feed barley. Yields were good except the couple canola fields that the bertha's ate. Kalleigh is doing great....growing like a weed. She is starting to crawl, and has developed quite the silly personality. Always brings a smile to my face when I get home, no matter how bad the day was. I'm sure you are gonna enjoy being a dad. Although you are gonna be very tired next spring between seeding and taking care of baby. I was through your part of the world today...looks like everybody has things wrapped up. How was the harvest for you guys? Anyway...take care and look forward to hearing from you.

No worries. They wanted 17k for it (12k hrs), no paperwork on the engine rebuild, tranny, or any hydraulic work - and with the range selector unmovable, I wouldn't even consider it. Not in the position to buy at the moment, but keeping an eye out. Might have found a late 276 or 9030 that appears to have fire damage, something I'd maybe consider as a project. Almost a shame that 4BT's are so expensive, prefer them to the NH engines. Maybe one could stuff a 6BT in there, I've heard it's been done.

Heard you know a fair bit about versy bidirectionals, test drove a 276 at tri ag in wainwright today. Did the later 276's (blue/black) have the ford 268 or still the cummins? This one has a NH reman/new engine in it (12,000 hrs on it total), so wasn't sure. Noticed the smaller axles. Everything was nice and tight, started, ran, felt good. Had tranny work done, but for the life of me that shifter would not move. I figure it's like a combine/SPFH, it should just slide into a different range?

Tractor is sound mechanically, good tires, needs a good wash especially under the cab. Dealer is asking 17k, maybe I'm cheap but for the age and whatnot, spending 17k on it wouldn't make it worth that. Any thoughts? Axles was first thing I checked out, well aware of those problems.

Did you go to the Seniuk sale on wednesday? He made out well....and by well, I mean everyone was crazy. Some 2 and 3 year old stuff went for more than new price. I guess $14 canola will do that....but I just shook my head. Was amazed at the turnout as well....biggest auction I've been to in my life.

You bet. Had a baby girl on Jan. 7, at 7:57 pm. (Ukranian Christmas). Kalleigh Maria Kupchenko. 6 lbs 10 oz. Mom and baby are both healthy, and she is growing (and eating) like crazy. No more just getting up and walking out the door anymore. Life has definately changed....and for the better.

So when are you and your honey going to tie the knot? You have any plans for your honeymoon? You won't regret getting married....if you aren't living together already, it is quite the change at first. After a while you grow together, and that is when things get fun.

Cleaned champion this go round. I'm hanging around home as of late, first baby due any day. (my day consists of running to the farm, helping load or unload truck, run back home to wifey) lol. Maybe catch you when they start cleaning wheat.

The CR should be back Friday I think. It is a changeup on the pumps, so hopefully NH will step up. What color our next combine will be rides on what they do.

Ok, talked to the tech from Millikens. Went through everything we had gone through before. He finally called me a while later and asked if the straw walker belt had the cross in it. It had been replaced at the shop. Didn't cross itself. Its amazing how much more capacity a combine has when the walkers aren't walking the straw back toward the beater!!!

So now we are quite impressed. It has a good 20% more capacity than the TR (30ft vs 36ft and still more ground speed) and is pretty decent on the fuel. So ends the saga (I hope).

The thing is underpowered -won't run with our TR98. But it is dry, has only 20 more hp and needs to haul 8 to 10000 more pounds around the field. I have the front awning plate up, the rear one's linkage is missing, so that is bad news. It is just a couple of days so I might suffer through it. The nice thing is that it has such huge sieves that it can clean just about anything you throw up the feedhouse!

I see you run CXs. We have a rental while our CR is getting work done (CX840) and it has the universal concave in it. How do you set it for harder threshing wheat? We seem to be overloading the sieves with busted up straw. Or am I hooped because of the concave in it?
