We are looking to buy an 8010 and were told to find a late 2005 or newer, preferably 2006 or up. Someone also said there was a certain serial number and up that could tell you about the 2005's. Any one heard of this?
We rented a 2004 last year with all the 'updates' and had no troubles. Did we luck out? Thanks for any replies.

We found what was adveritsed as an 2006, but the serial # 6076. Is it an 05? I was told to skip to 2006. Any ideas.

It's an '05 from that s/n. If the rotor cage, vanes, chopper and some other updates are done or it is priced low enough to do the updating then '05 is OK but if not keep looking for '06+
