I am having trouble with a John deere 1075 Header. Too much straw is getting through to the box. I need to know the speed the walkers, Barrel and motor should be. I have tried to get this information but am having trouble any ideas would be appreciated.
Well, I can help you a bit, perhaps. All I have to go from is a piece of ad literature dated September 1984.
According to the specs given, walker rpm should be 150 rpm. Beater speed is 850 rpm, and cylinder speed is variable from 565 to 1135 rpm. Engine rpm is 2500 rpm (under load--- the fast idle, no load speed might be about 2650 rpm), assuming it has the JD turbocharged 359 (5.9 liter) engine. Hope this helps.
