I was wondering if there was a way to add a feederhouse reverser to a 1440 Int. or if it was an actual available option. The #60 chain behind my reel drive pump broke and it was a mess to dig out. This chain runs the beater between the feeder chain and the rotor.

We had a 1460 that had a hydraulic reverser someone else had put on. It didn't work very well for us. Always problems with the chain drive. Don't remember who manufactured it. The Case parts website shows the complete breakdown of their 12 volt reverser available for the 1440. We have that on a 1680 and I think it works pretty well. I would check with wreckers before I tried to buy it thru Case.
