is there much dif in compacitiy or performance
would like to know bc might switch

You will like the 1460 over the 7700. Swing out, high clearance unoad auger. Much simpler design- fewer moving parts. Adjustments easier to access. Engine out back so cab is quiet (and cooler). If the cage is pretty well wore out, put in a 2366 cage and concaves. Might sip just a tad more fuel per acre.

ive heard that on the 1460s that with the wieght of the engine over the back that 4wd is a neecesitie if become with wet conditions bc the back will start to sink?

My 1460 has 18.4 x 16.1 rear tires and it barely leaves a mark. They are set to track directly behind the fronts. We don't do field work in the mud.
