Today i started to pull some wires out of concaves and noticed all the straight bars are missing. I guess who ever had it before us took them out. Grow corn, soybeans and wheat. Corn avg 165bu. soy 35bu. wheat 85bu. Do i need them or not?
I assume you are talking about the straight bars that are located by themselves. It was discovered that in corn and beans the material will flow through better without them. You only need them in harder threshing crops. The last thing you need in green stem beans are these bars to retard the flow of material over the concaves.
