Hello everyone new to this board, it seems like a really great place for information from the worldwide combining community. We have a 1660 with 1900 hours on it and the injector pump is leaking oil down the timing cover. Has happened before with all new o-rings put in it. i ordered a new set but was wondering if there was something that may be worn or if its something that happens occasionally. Also i took out the rock trap this year as i felt it was reducing its capacity. The machine works the very best now 1 - 1.5 mph faster in barley, only now it doesn't have enough power has anyone turned their pump up? how much per quarter turn. thanks in advance

Had same problem in my shop last year, problem was in the pump. It was worn around a set screw in the housing if I remember, but the pump shop fixed it up, the also put what the tech calls a torque capsule in the pump, helps alot!!!!If engine pulls down and doesn't recover, also getting close to having injectors checked also, if your not using biodiesel or any thing for lubrication in the fuel system, wear seems worse on combines because of higher RPMS
