Pretty sure I already know the answer to this question but looking to see if anyone else has any idea's.

Have a 91 1680 with 1900 hrs and on the last field we did last season the add on Kirby chaff spreader stopped spinning and the unloading auger would not extend unless helped out. Chaff spreader T's off pickup hydraulic lines. The pickup ran fine and still lifted good though. Is it a weak hydraulic pump? How do you diagnose it?

I know years newer came with bigger pumps.

I would think it would affect all aspects of performance of things tied to the pump. I don't know what you would do to diagnose this though. Could you get a gage to check the pressure and flow to see if there is a restriction in the line causing the problem? Good luck!
