Not sure i can help you much. I managed to be busy with other things the day ours was done.
Youll need to remove the horizontal tube well out of the way
and get stuck into it. I cant remeber if they removed the side panel and so on... it hink there is enough room to pull it up out the top.
spline on the vertical auger flighting was stuffed too, you may need to change it!

use liquid nails on any gaps that are present on assembly, sets hard, silastic only lasts a week

Replaced this on a 1440. It's pretty straight forward. Left the vertical auger in place and did everything from the bottom. The biggest pain is removing seized bolts. Be careful with the cast piece at the bottom. It will crack or break a lot easier than you would think.
