How bout the air foil ones? how to guys like those. we always ran them in our 7720 john deeres with good results but have heard mixed opinions with them in the cases.

My dad said they really liked the air-foil chaffers years ago, except in certain conditions where it needed to be closed a bit. We were looking to put a new chaffer in the 2388 last year and the dealer had an adjustable one so we decided to try it. I think it works better than the 11/8 Cloz-slat that was in there, but we still have a hard time setting the machine right in wheat. It just doesn't seem to do as good of a job as our old combines.
