My 1688 is just about at the 3000 hour mark and its time for a tune up on the rotor (Specialty Rotor). Its still on the original rub bars, and they are no longer pretty. I was thinking about just a crome set of bars from Case and a Acceller kit from Stewart Steel. Is that my best option? If I go with that its going to cost about $3000.00 Cnd.

Iam using the machine in Saskatchewan on wheat, barley, canola, peas, oats and flax. If it matters Iam running Sunnybrook concaves ( http://www.sunnybrookwelding.com )

The other thing to consider is i am not sure how much longer I want to own this machine. Iam now almost putting on 300 hours a year. So cost is a consideration.

Thanks
