I have a 1688 that I was driving into a shed when it all of a sudden stopped moving. The engine runs with no load when I move the propulsion lever ahead or back. I first thought I ran out of oil because of a ruptured line or that the spline on the hydo went out, but after I went thru the big job to remove it, there was nothing wrong with it and the oil was at the right level. I now disconnected the hydraulic motor from the transmission, hung it so that I could run the machine to see if it turns and it will not. If you put your hand on the oil lines running to the hyrdostatic motor, you can tell that the oil is circulating. Has anyone experienced this before? I don't know what could be wrong other than replace the motor. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have you checked your splined shafts down by the tranny? they go from the tranny to the final drives. they could be stripped out.
