Looking at several 2388's. would rather have a 2003 and newer. i have found some that look like a good price and they all have around 2000 sep hours on them. what needs replacing in this time frame? I am not worried about bushings...when do the augers wear out...the chains or elevators?

We are converted grain farmers. We bought a 1480 and been hiring the rest cut. Next year we are gonna do it our self.

Thanks.

I am currently running a 2188 with 2900 engine and 2350 sep hours and before fall season we replaced seperator bars with gordon rotor bars and rebilt the chopper. I think after next season will are going to replace clean grain augers and inclined delivery auger in hopper. In my opnion after a machine reaches that 2500 to 3000hr range there will be parts to replace. But i think replacing parts is cheaper than operating a 150000 to 225000 dollar machine.
