Got a TBT with hydraulic drive and has sectional control. The middle tank roller continues to turn slowly when main clutch and individual roller is turned off. We think it is bypassing at the block at the roller since it turns off when the power beyond is unplugged but will continue to turn when all electrical plugs are unhooked at the tractor (7 and 9 pin plugs). Any one have this problem or know what would be causing this?

Thank you in advance for the help

I haven’t used a John Deere hydraulic tank so it may use a different principal than a Borgault uses. I believe these have a variable flow valve in the supply line to each given orbit motor, but there is also a basic electromagnetic start stop valve located down line. In this case those are mounted on the motor itself. If foreign material lodges in one of the 3 or 4 tiny ports located in these units it hangs the valve up and will allow slight shaft rotation during the off commands.

To service, remove the electromagnetic coil and unscrew the mounting post ccw from the valve body. The post is hollow with a trigger pin sliding inside, so be as gentle as possible if you don’t have the proper tool and need to use a vice grip. You can usually see the cause but not always, sometimes it needs to be replaced.
