I just bought a 1640 4wd and the rear hubs started leaking on the way home, are the seals easy to change on these units?
also if the rear drive line hot is with the switch off Could the 4wd be stuck on? thanks

Depending on what type of 4wd system it has on it, there could be lock out pins on the rear hubs that should be disengaged before long periods of road travel. This could be the cause of heat build up if it was a long drive home. Just remember to turn them back before you go to the feild or 4wd won't work! I would think that if the 4wd was stuck on you should see greatly reduced travel speeds on the road.
