Why? We took the rear ladder and tin work off and most off the bolts that hold the top platform down on our '00. Remember to take out the return and vent fittings on the upper right side!! Then it kinda rolls/slides out . Ours had a spot weld let go as the vent line plugged. Took two guys about three hours to get it apart, could do it again two guys - just over an hour. About an hour to fix and two to reinstall. We re-welded it then glued over it and no leaks for two seasons. On our 98 we just cut a whole from the inside with a zip-cut wheel in a side grinder to access the leak , cleaned tank and glue/J-B weld/epoxied ? it then bolted the piece back in. Not the prettiest but about an hour start to finish for one guy. So far no one has noticed it.
