I have been in a few of the deep tillage vs. minimum vs. no-till threads and usually there's someone that's going to try deep tillage for the first time. What were your experiences and what type of tool did you use?
Last fall we used a disk ripper. This fall was a wet fall and rutted up the field where the disk ripper was used but was able to traverse the no till ground with minimum problems. Yield wise, the ripped ground was our worst.
