reel stopped on 635 draper, JD technichician very good thinks it is the relief valves, or check valves on big hydraulic block behind step has anyone had a similar problem or have any advice on how to fix it.

Welcome to the 2009 Deere's and don't worry your not the only guy to ever have this problem, the 635d has had problems with the hardware programing in the combine so sooner or later Deere should fix this its just a pain in the a-- when this new stuff does not work right.

We have a 625D and the tube in the reel broke into Wednesday dealer patched me back up but also said deere is giving an extra 12 months warranty free. maybe it wont be that bad.

Check the reel hydraulic pump, located behind the ladder side drive tire. Had the pump go on an 09 9770 this fall. If you roll the belt off, you should feel some resistance spinning the pump by hand one direction. When our pump went bad, it spun freely both ways.
I thought a key had sheared or something, but there were no visible signs of trouble. New pump solved our problem.

found problem it was solenoid valve at back, and top of hydraulic block, no mention of the problem here in Aust. on DTAC, but parts were available. going again, thanks for the replies.
