I have an early 2014 pre def 680 , and been over about 300 acres so far. Seems like my cab shakes a lot , I told the dealer it feels like cab mounts are made of jello and he suggested we recenter the shoe on the shaker arms. So yesterday when tech was out we tried that but that didn't help any. The tech was shocked how bad it shakes , it doesn't appear to be the combine because he stood on combine platform beside the cab while separator was running and only the cab was moving. He thought there might be a pip on the cab mounts. Anybody know anything like that? Seems like Deere has really struggled with these S series cabs from day one. Anyone else notice this problem?

I have this same issue on a 2013 S660. After a day of running I get out and I'm still shaking for a few hours. Weird feeling. It's the big shoe that's shaking. That's all ok though the shoe is fine. The old cabs were supported at the top to the grain tank. Dealer says I'm not the only one. Deere says they never heard of it and it's not a problem. It's the four bottom cab mounts are to loose and not supporting the weight.

Deere has never heard of it? So what is the PIP for replacing the cab mounts for from Deere if they have never heard of it?!? And why do you think the actually cab mounting support frames have physically been changed on 2014 cabs? Either the cab mounting needs updated or the machine is indeed out of balance causing excessive shaking. Our 2014 cab is a dream to be it, quite as can be with fantastic isolation....it's dramatically different from the previous cabs. It doesn't help you with the older machines, but Deere has ironed out the cab issue completely.....i talk on my bluetooth all day long in the cab it's so quite.
Replacing the cab mounts on my 2012 S660 was for the noise I was told. My 2013 came with the updated mounts. Both machines shake badly.

Have you dropped belts to see if you can isolate the issue. Sounds like something is out of balance. Start with the rotor and straw chopper than start undoing belts to see if you can isolate it to a specific part of the machine. Might be a bent shaft or something???

The Cab mount replacement was for noise not so much vibration but yet to be in a MY14 machine. Glad they fixed the noise as the early machines are dreadful

I had a 2012 and a 2013 before this one. The 12 was no doubt the worst one on noise, the 2013 fixed that problem but certainly did not shake like this 14 model. I think this 14 model ,even though its pre def ,might be have the laminated glass as it seems even quieter than the 2013. The cab shakes bad enough that the grain cart driver says he can see it.

My 2013 is in the shop now. They are putting in the laminated glass. As for the shaking cab. I'm not the only one the dealer said. They have not found anything out of balance on any machine for this issue. The dealer is going to try a few different things on the cab mounts. But there is nothing from Deere to fix it yet.
