looking at upgrading combines and i have found a nice 2166 and a good looking 1666. besides the price differences and the nicer cab on the 2166 are there any real differences between the two machines performance wise? are they the same hp? bin capacity, etc?

I think the 2166 has a little more hp not much but overall the same machine only 21 a little nicer to run, controls cab and a lot quieter.

A lot of the 2100 series parts are interchangeable with the 2300 and 2500 series parts. Not so much with the 1600 series. That makes for more choices if you have to get parts from a graveyard.
Also, 2166 has basically the same cab as a 2588. The same controls, A-post, seat, etc...
I know you can put the Case yield monitor on a 2166. Don't know about a 1666.
I don't remember off hand if the 1666 had PFC hydraulics. I know the 2166 does.

Both machines use the 24inch rotor. 2166 cleaning system might be bigger.

These two machines are largely identical except for the upgraded cab on the 21. Power ratings and rotor and cleaning system sizes are unchanged.

how reliable are the electronics on the 2100 series? anybody have any troubles?
