one of the arms of the upper unloader gearbox ( the 90* gearbox that fits in the elbow) has broken off. Naturally its the one where grease flows through to get to the gearbox. Dealer is over a 1000 bucks! I don't know if it can be welded, small diameter piece plus it's cast iron. Also, don't know if the heat would damage the seals anyway. One of the spline shafts is getting worn. Does any aftermarket place offer this gear box. part # is 1347351c1 replaced by 1347351c2. According to the online parts, the housing alone is not available. You have to buy the complete gearbox. Any suggestions?
Usually these gearboxes only break when the elebow needs replaced. Make sure there are no wrinkles in the elbow just above where it pivots especially on the back side. The onmly time I broke one was when that elbow wore out and bent putting the gearbox in a bind. Myself I would buy the new gearbox just cause its so hard to replace and for reliability.
