I have a 2166 that's has the black box yield monitor. The monitor is shot, can't be repaired. I have a Ag leader Pf 3000 on my old combine. I was wandering if the 3000 would plug into the existing system? Or what it would take to do it. Also toying around with the idea of newer Ag leader install, or Trimble. But am guessing its gonna be pricey. Any advise is appreciated. Thank you.

You probably have a 2000. In which case a 3000 will plug into it, but you will need to recalibrate.

The new ones (Insight Integra, etc) are Canbus, so you would need to change all the sensors, it would be considerably more.


A yieldkit for a Trimble FM 750 or FMX is $5700 bucks Canadian.

If the existing black box is the CIH version, the main connector is pinned exactly backwards of the AgLeader version, so a PF3000 would NOT plug directly in.
