We're on to threshing canola now, but we have a problem throwing canola out the rotor at dark. We quit last night 15 minutes after the sun went down because the loss meter was pegged. We've tried the trouble shooting section of the manual. Tighten concave, slow down the rotor but it only helps for a few hundred feet then over it goes.
During the day we're fine, but the days aren't very long any more. Does anyone have any tips?

Hey Saskman. Just got your pm last night and thought it was too late to call.

3 sw concaves and the front has interupter bars in it. I don't know if it is throwing it out on the right or not. When it's dark it's not really all that safe to throw a pan under the machine. During the day there doesn't seem to be any more on the right than the left. During the day the loss is really nothing. Only 5 seeds per square foot.

Are you picking up a swath or straight cutting? We are having a little rotor loss after sundown straight cutting due to excessive green stems. A result of our hot dry summer in Ontario. Not much you can do about it except shutting down if it gets too tough. Sure beats swathing it though! We have 2 small wire and 3rd large running 350 in low range. Fan at 640. Concave 2.5 to 3.
