My 2188 vertical unload auger broke, spun the hub loose from the auger on lower end (where gearbox splines go in). I have determined the augers weren't times right on top end, that didn't help this whole situation.

But anyway I have new vertical auger, new lower casting and gearbox. My gearbox isn't anywhere close to bolting up to the 8 bolt holes in the mounting casting. They are half a hole off at best. Doesn't seem to be much leeway to move gearbox around. I don't want to force it to bolt up or I think there will be quite a bind on the auger/splines/gearbox bearings.

Could my whole grain tank have sagged causing this mis-alignment to occur? I think I'm gonna drill out the holes bigger in the casting to try to get the bolts in that way.

Comments welcomed. Thanks

I got it its working well, I drilled out the 8 holes for the gearbox to 9/16, took all bolts out but 2 in cast piece to fox hole, bolted everything up loose got all the 3/8 bolts in but two and ran a bit thru them tightened it all up it seems to work well.

Biggest improvement was adding the orifice in the engagement cylinder somehow missed that update in the past 10 years
